Spectrum 3: AQUA to RED

Spectrum 3 reflects the political beliefs of many who identify themselves as being either on the left or right.

Spectrum 3: PROGRESSIVE FREEDOM to REACTIONARY TYRANNY

People who are RED are authoritarian, hierarchical, powerful and evil. The ORANGE and YELLOW parts of the full spectrum are objectively pro-RED, so any talk about freedom from the right is seen as either intentionally deceptive or foolishness. Even the GREENs are seen as a step towards tyranny.

In contrast, the AQUA ideologies are believed to respect individual autonomy and foster voluntary cooperation. The left is AQUA and AQUA is good. The BLUE and DENIM parts of the full spectrum are seen as having their hearts in the right place. Any oppressive activities from BLUEs (or even PURPLEs) are excused as actions they are fooled or forced into by REDs. The weakness/disorganization of AQUAs that comes from their greater respect for freedom prevents them from overthrowing the RED tyranny.

No true AQUA is authoritarian in this world-view. Any historical evidence that might seem to indicate otherwise reflects the personal failings of individual leaders, but does not represent AQUAs as a whole. Similarly the individual liberty talk from REDs is seen as a disingenuous attempt to fool the masses into acquiescing to their own social, economic and political enslavement. This way of looking at politics is the core of most AQUA, some DENIM and a few BLUE doctrines.

Spectrum 3: TRADITIONAL STABILITY to REVOLUTIONARY ANARCHY

People who are RED are responsible, pragmatic representatives of the political right. The ORANGE and YELLOW parts of the full spectrum have voluntarily selected REDs to lead them because REDs deliver better results than other parts of the political right. Even many GREENs acknowledge the beneficial consequences of RED governance.

In contrast, the AQUA ideologies are the bane of civilization. The left is AQUA and AQUA is destructive. The BLUE and DENIM parts of the full spectrum are seen as (unwittingly or not) tying themselves to destructive AQUA ideologues. Any oppressive activities from REDs (or even PURPLEs) are excused as actions they are fooled or forced into by AQUAs. The AQUAs take advantage of RED disorganization that comes from RED people's greater respect for social and political traditions. The endpoint of every AQUA movement is destructive revolutionary anarchy.

No true AQUA is pro-civilization in this world-view. Any historical evidence that might seem to indicate otherwise reflects the personal virtues of individual leaders, but does not represent AQUAs as a whole. Similarly any unlimited authority talk from REDs is seen as indicating the personal failings of a few hangers-on. This way of looking at politics is the core of most RED, some ORANGE and a few YELLOW doctrines.
